How do you mine obsidian in Minecraft.
This tutorial is about how to make obsidian and how to mine it. This is not a tutorial for like a full-on obsidian generator; it’s just really basic for people who are new to the game because many people don’t know how to do this.
Now the first thing you’re going to need is a water bucket. If you don’t know how to make one of those, make it out of iron on the crafting table.
Scoop up some water, and then, you need to find some lava. I’m not covering that you can find lava by basically just digging down to bedrock, going up a little bit, and then just looking around for caves. That’s pretty much the easiest way to do it.
You’re just going to find it but when you find the lava, and you have your water bucket, making obsidian is easy. You just put the water down so that it flows over the lava, and then you have your obsidian.
There might be some lava under because it only tends to turn the first layer, so be careful, actually probably an easier thing to do. Just dig down a little bit and check.
The next thing you do is if to mine the obsidian. Obsidian is a little tricky to mine because you have to have a diamond pick. You need a diamond pick, and you need it basically because nothing else will mine it. If you try and do it with an iron pick, it will take a very long time to mine, and then you’ll get nothing.
That is how you get obsidian, and then it’s a block you can put down you can do whatever you like with it.
Obsidian, you use that to make enchanting tables, and you use it to make nether portals and things like that. And it’s a pretty good substance.
Suppose you want to build very protected bases and stuff; you can use obsidian because creepers don’t tend to blow it up very well. It’s one of the hardest substances in the game. It’s a good sort of safety tool for building your bases out too.
