OnePlus Nord 5G

The Oneplus Nord 5G is considered to be the best phone in this segment with a starting price of Rs 24,999 for the base 6GB + 64 GB varient, it is a very good offering. But before we give our opinions lets summarise the specifications:

Processor

The specifications of the Oneplus Nord 5G are quite good. It comes with a upper midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, it’s a 5G processor which gives the Oneplus Nord a upper hand in terms of longevity. As 5G is going to be implemented everywhere in coming days, the Oneplus Nord will be able to keep up for the future. It packs a new Adreno 620 GPU which is very powerful.

Cameras

The Oneplus Nord comes with quad rear cameras with a 48mp main sensor and 8mp Ultra Wide and 2mp depth sensor with 2mp macro camera. The front cameras packs a 32mp main sensor along with a 8mp ultra wide sensor. The cameras can record videos up to 4K 60 Fps videos both on rear and front cameras. The cameras look promising on specifications, but as we all know smartphone camera quality depends on the optimization of the camera software and algorathim. But we can say that for the price the Oneplus Nord may not be the best camera but looking at the overall package its a quite good deal.

Display

The display is one of the biggest X factors of the Oneplus Nord as it has an Amoled Full HD+ 1080p 90Hz display. Its quite smooth because of the refresh rate and have good colours as well. It’s also HDR 10+ certified.

Battery

When it comes to battery, the story remains the same. It’s a decent 4115 mAh battery. It might not be huge according to 2020’s standards, but the plus point is that it comes with a 30W Warp charger in the box. So, it balances the lack of a huge battery.

Storage & Ram

The Oneplus Nord’s biggest USP might be its software. We all know and admire about how good Oneplus’s software is. We love the fact that Oneplus provides us a very good experience in terms of software. Their Oxygen OS is clean, fast and responsive. Seeing their past track records on older phones, they do provide software updates and support for more longer period of time than other manufactures. The Oneplus Nord comes with Oxygen OS 10 based on Android 10 but will be soon updated to the latest Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11.

Pricing & Colour Varients.

The Oneplus Nord 5G’s prices start from:

  • Rs 24,999 for the 6GB + 64 GB.
  • Rs 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB.
  • Rs 29,999 for the 12GB + 256GB.

It comes in three colours:

  • Blue Marble

  • Gray Ash

Our Opinions

The Oneplus Nord is overall a very well balanced offering from Oneplus. Be it Software, display, battery or cameras. The smartphone performs very well in every aspect. There might be better phones with something more better than the Oneplus Nord. But talking about balance, many phones only do somethings better than other. But the Oneplus delivers on every aspect and performs like a champ in its price segment. So, it’s not a hard choice for us to recommend the Oneplus nord to the people who wants an all-rounder phone.
